Happy One Year Anniversary

July 31, 2005.
My dearest sister got married. The first one in the family. It was a lovely wedding and filled with all the blessings from our heavenly father, families and friends. I am really thankful that their marriage is full of the joy & grace of God. They are a merry married couple!! Thanks Will for taking really good care of Janice...you two are always in my prayers.

不知道為什麼每次看Judy的blog都很不容易
電腦都會變得超級的慢,不然就是電腦會不合作....
可是Judy的文章都很激勵人喔~
Judy在最近的一篇blog中寫到她的寶貝女兒小乖看爸爸媽媽整理東西很辛苦
就請媽媽倒一杯水,不只是她自己要喝,還要給爸爸喝一口給媽媽喝一口
雖然根本沒看過Judy他們一家人,可是從照片看多了感覺好像認識一樣....

這一起喝一杯水似乎是很平常簡單的事卻在我腦海裏浮上一幅很美的畫面

Wednesday Night

We had a great prayer meeting tonight at SOP. I think I really learn a lot from prayer meetings like this. Learning to pray like a prayer warrior, to build on each other's prayers, to proclaim the victory over the enemies with conviction and the authority of God, to give thanks to God for what He has done, to praise Him for who He is, and to bless others with my prayers.

Once again I am reminded of the power of prayers. It's the authority and power God has given to me to call upon His name.

Monday Night Family Dinner~

Monday night是我們蕭家的family night
今天晚上的飯局是在Black Angus
很久沒去那裡吃過了,這次是全家和張爺爺田奶奶一起去的
來張大合照...服務生幫我們照的!

張爺爺和田奶奶非常疼愛我的牧師爸爸和媽媽~
非常的尊敬牧師...像是搶著付賬,決不讓牧師付錢,這次真的是用"搶的"....
還有一定堅持目送牧師上車自己才上車
明明他們是長輩的....

This week is going to be different, maybe a little tough. No more free afternoons to relax or nap. Can't bear the heat...Summer summer summer...There are always a lot of changes in people's lives during the summer. A lot of summer memories came to my mind today. Trip to Hawaii, houseboat trip at Lake Powell, trip to Napa Valley & San Francisco, Janice & Will's wedding (Thank God they got married last year, not this year! Can't stand the heat!!!)...yeah, I think I missed the trip to Yellowstone two years ago but I couldn't remember why I didn't go. This summer seems a little too simple and too ordinary....

God gives me a second chance...

NiNi是我看過最會灑嬌的小女孩
有夠可愛的,每次她都會像無尾熊一樣黏著不放
不然就是頭會歪歪的露出甜甜的微笑
沒事還會跑過來嘟著嘴一付"我很可愛,我要抱抱"的表情
而且,很喜歡找我爸抱她,叫"牧師"的時候"師"還會嘴巴嘟嘟的....

今天晚上是爸爸媽媽的新生命小組的家庭聚會,感覺很熱鬧喔~

這次除了上次在我blog上已經介紹過的三位小朋友(包括NiNi)
這次還有特別來賓"耀揚"
這是Linda阿姨特別照顧的小孩,因為他是有特別需要的小孩
出生的時候因為器官上的不健全,使得耀揚不能用嘴巴進食,呼吸也很困難
Linda阿姨很愛他,雖然照顧他的時候都心驚膽跳,但卻每次都用禱告托住這個孩子
上次看到耀揚好像是去年聖誕節那時候,今天看到的他已經長大了喔!
是一個非常可愛的孩子,感謝神的恩典~似乎不像以前那樣脆弱
跟他同年紀的孩子已經都可以跑來跑去了,但是耀揚還沒辦法自己坐起來
他的肚子上還插個胃管,所以抱他的時候肚子會凸出一個東西

我今天晚上第一次看到耀揚喝牛奶,是有一個像針筒的東西接到胃管
牛奶就倒進針筒然後直接從胃管到胃裡面
這種心疼的感覺是言語無法形容....而且又想到自己這麼愛吃....
親愛的耶穌,懇求祢醫治可愛的耀揚!!
我相信耶穌醫治的大能一定能醫治耀揚的身體!!
覺得我的右手很奇怪是吧...

Yeh! I finished reading this book
"Men Are Like Waffles-Women Are Like Spaghetti."

This is a book that talks about the differences between men and women and helps you to achieve a more satisfying romantic relationship. It covers many areas of relationships like how couples communicate, how couples express their emotions, how couples solve conflicts...etc. It's very enjoyable and humorous and also with biblical insights and funny stories.

There are some interesting quotes from the book.
"I married Miss Right. I just didn't know her first name was Always."
"A successful man is one who makes more money than his wife can spend. A successful woman is one who can find such a man."
"A woman marries a man expecting he will change, but he doesn't. A man marries a woman expecting that she won't change and she does."

Today is indeed an amazing day for me!! It all started with a text message, "Have fun at work today! I have a feeling today is going to be a great day!" This sweet morning blessing truly made my day!!
When I came home from work this afternoon, there was a package waiting for me by the door. What a surprise!! WOW~ I was so excited and couldn't wait to open it. Guess what's in there???!!!

Amazing grace. Amazing savior. Amazing love. Part Two

今天是充滿神恩典的一天
是一個突破,一個新的領受,一個新的看見...
我只能說將一切的榮耀歸給深愛我的主耶穌~

今天晚上是SOP summer的prayer meeting
感謝神給我這個機會服事祂
這是我第一次帶敬拜......
雖然Prayer meeting的人不多,加上大人都去Asia tour了...沒什麼好怕的! j/k =P
但對我來說這是一個很大的挑戰
上個禮拜五知道要帶敬拜的時候,就開始準備,想說要唱什麼歌
一開始腦子一片空白
但是那時只有一個意念,就是想單單的來到神面前,告訴祂"我愛祂"~
選了"常常喜樂" "最深愛的主" & "一生愛祢"
後面兩首歌都是在向主耶穌說"愛祢!!"
很奇妙的,今天照著進度表讀聖經的時候,第一句就是"耶和華我的力量阿!我愛祢!"
短短的一句話就是我最需要的~真的很amazing!
我們或許覺得神很愛我們,很看顧我們
但時間一久,我們對神的渴慕和熱情就慢慢的不像以前一樣
也或許我們很愛神,卻很少來到祂的面前告訴祂我們有多愛祂~
神提醒我,是祂先愛了我,而我的心也要再次向祂說:"我愛祢!"

今天下午開車的路上,我向神禱告,求祂幫助我給我力量,讓我的心不懼怕
神告訴我祂是用笑臉幫助我的!!
晚上禱告的時候,Wendy也是用同樣的話語...聽到的時候心裏也微笑了一下
神阿!祢真的是信實的神,祢真的是用笑臉幫助我的~
感謝神賜我一顆剛強壯膽的心!!
晚上的敬拜我覺得很sweet~ 神的同在真的很甜美~Glory to God!

今天我買了SOP最新的兩張CD還有songbook喔!!!剛從台灣運到的,還熱熱的呢!
"寶貴十架"和"似乎在天堂"~
真的很好很好聽,每首歌都很感動喔!請大家趕快去買喔!
感覺好像有一堆禮物一樣,神的救恩和慈愛不就是最好的禮物嗎?!

晚上回家的路上,在freeway上剛好看到Disney的煙火
你知道嗎??? 我看到的煙火是Happy Face!!!我的臉上真的是露出微笑~
我告訴神,祢真的很愛我~祢真的是用笑臉幫助我的神!!!

As I continued to deep clean my room this afternoon, I found a box in my closet. I did not remember what I put in there so I took it out and opened it. It was like a treasure box where I found some interesting stuff that I still kept.
This is a ceramic art piece I made from one of the art class many years ago. I used to put it on my desk but unfortunately one of its ears got chipped and fell off. I think I really treasured it and still saved it in the box. However, I decided to throw it away and it is in the trash now. =P

Surprisingly, I also found these three money flowers!! They are made with one dollar bills!!! I think I got those at least eight or nine years ago. Who was this guy trying to catch my heart with money??? hahahaha =P I cut and disassembled the flowers and each flower is worth five dollars!!

Yes, one more Winnie the Pooh to my Pooh & Tigger collection. It's actually an alarm clock and I think I ordered this online a few years ago and didn't open it until this afternoon! heehee

Do you keep all the cards and letters you received??? I do!
When Robert was little, he loved to write me letters or draw me pictures. I think he wrote this when he was in 2nd or 3rd grade. This is just very sweet and cute.... ^___^

Sherry and I spent our Sunday afternoon in Pasadena. She has never been there before so we decided to go shopping at Paseo Colorado. Outdoor shopping wasn't the best idea in a hot summer day like this but we still had fun. After an afternoon of walking and walking, we drove to old town and went to Kabuki Japanese Restaurant for dinner. It was an early birthday celebration for Sherry! =)

好驚訝喔!!! 剛剛卡羅從香港打電話給我喔!!!
(請大家不要羨慕我~我知道我很特別!!)
雖然講不到五分鐘,但是卡羅要我向所有關心她的朋友們說一些話
(特別交代跟小白說...請小白再轉達給其他的人!)
卡羅說她很好,每天都有學到很多新的東西
經過很多場的events,但是她還有聲音喔!
Praise God!!!而且她的聲音聽起來非常的好聽,很喜樂很興奮喔!
她很想念在美國每個親愛的弟兄姊妹們
常常在休息的時候就會想說大家在做什麼~
她請大家繼續為她,也為整個SOP團隊代禱!!

還有,她現在去逛街了!!!哈哈哈哈～

房間快整理好了!!!
這次的大掃除真的是快把我累壞了~
裡裡外外我都要給它清個一塵不染(懷疑自己有潔癖!!哈哈)
這次狠下心,忍痛把穿不下的衣服一包一包的準備捐出去
還有這幾年下來人家送的stuff animals都重新挑選
一半都被我淘汰了,不然睡覺都快沒位置了!!

昨天晚上和Jack, Wendy & Ivy去"口品"吃飯
那裡的食物真的很好吃,超多人在等的
我們四個人點了酸辣湯,炒空心菜,三鮮炒麵,蔥油餅,豬肉蒸餃,海哲皮...
我應該沒漏掉吧....吃得好飽喔!!發現我們都還蠻會吃的~
吃完後Wendy媽媽還去隔壁RJ買了一個叫"Wonderland"的蛋糕給我們
回家的路上我們又到茶點子去吃特製芒果冰
不是吃很飽嗎???!!!不過總是肚子還是有空間給甜點的~哈哈哈
這還是我第一次去茶點子吃冰呢!!!冰是用"碗公"裝的...超級大的

我們四個合吃一個才可以吃得完呢!!!
回家以後我們看很多照片,聊了聊天,現在知道結婚的時候要找誰幫忙了!!!
我也該好好幫Lillian也幫自己收集資料和吸取經驗~
之後我們看了很好笑的綜藝節目還有吃蛋糕~
反正星期五晚上就是一路吃到底的感覺....哈哈

甜蜜城堡裏的王子和公主

這篇是特別為我親愛的Lillian寫的
昨天半夜十二點多終於在電話中把求婚的細節詳細的跟我分享了~
Lillian授權給我讓我好好的把她和Peter的求婚記給做個紀錄(這可是要有copyright的!)

Peter這次非常細心的計畫這次的求婚
在Big Bear租了一個三層樓的小城堡
原本我們Lillian還不是很想去呢~(知道以後要多聽Peter的話!!!)
星期六早上六點半Peter就去接Lillian,還送了一朵玫瑰花給她
開著開著...Peter還看地圖找路..(其實在演戲)...終於到了目的地了
這三層樓的城堡一樓是室內花園
當Peter請Lillian打開門的時候,Lillian看到的是一片玫瑰花園...
她非常興奮而且驚嘆的要轉過頭跟Peter說怎麼這麼漂亮的時候
一轉頭
Peter已經一腳跪在地上,手裡拿著戒指跟Lillian說了一大串感人的話跟她求婚
感動的淚水流下...耳邊傳來的音樂竟是他們倆的情歌~

這個玫瑰花園裡的玫瑰花有199朵,加上早上Peter送的那一朵共兩百朵
原來Peter為了這次的求婚還跟公司請假呢!!
其實前一天Peter就已經開上山去佈置這個玫瑰花園~
還有這個求婚戒指可是Peter牌的喔!
他把Lillian喜歡的款式想辦法加在一起,是Peter自己設計獨一無二的喔!!
當然,接下來的時間他們倆就很幸福的住在城堡裏,過著王子和公主的幸福生活
還有去散步,享受大自然,釣魚和騎馬喔~

好朋友要結婚很為她高興
我也等不及想當乾媽~ 哈哈 好啦!先當伴娘啦~
願神在這段準備結婚的日子裏,更豐盛的保守你們倆個~愛妳愛妳!!!
