我的世界這兩天好像慢了下來
昨天晚上自己一個人
睡醒的時候都沒人在家
安靜到有點恐怖
其實蠻怕一個人的這種感覺

最近愛上一首歌

這首歌可以讓我在鋼琴前面彈很久
喜歡它的旋律
喜歡它的歌詞
正努力把這首歌背起來

今天下午
又是自己一個人的下午
因為媽媽最近身體不好在睡覺
TheRob昨天晚上半夜開始上吐下瀉又頭暈也在睡覺
請為他們禱告
特別是媽媽
胃不舒服很多天了
醫生說還要做很多更進一步的檢查

今天教會裏的四位弟兄上山去參加彩虹退休會
爸爸也去服事
昨天很努力的一共寫了十二張卡片
希望他們會很感動...
想像他們驚訝的表情...
真想念上次那種被神的愛充滿的喜樂!

I am thinking...

It's not easy to be a pastor and it's even more difficult to be a good pastor.
This morning, my dad got a phone call from a divorced couple. Their child is charged with murder and is currently at the court. The reporters went to their house to cover the news and somehow suggested them to find a Christian church to seek for help. Someone just happened to give them our home number. They called and my dad went to see them this morning.

This is just the brief story of what happened before I left my house this morning. They are completely strangers and my dad always offer helps to those who are in need. Being a pastor's daughter, I know people came to my dad for various problems, big and small problems. I am very proud of my dad for being so loving, kind, and compassionate to others, especially to strangers. But the most important is to bring people to know Jesus.

The question I've been thinking....
Would I do the same thing like my dad?
Am I willing to love people when they are in need?
Am I willing to help people when they are in trouble?

I know without God's love and grace, we are not able to give. God set good examples for all of us and my dad set good examples for me. I am still learning to have a servant's heart.

"Be shepherds of God's flock that is under your care, serving as overseers--not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not greedy for money, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away." (1 Peter 5:2-4)

This kind of gloomy weather is depressing. I was working on my paper and then had dinner. When I got back into my room, I wanted to watch my sister's wedding DVD. Just wanted to listen to the songs but then I spent at least 30 minutes watching it. I guess I miss them a lot....

Happy Boss's Day!

We had breakfast potluck for Boss's Day this morning at work. I woke up very early to make sure I had enough time to rush to the supermarket to get some orange juice. =) TGIF! I've been eating for the whole morning....heehee =P I am so excited!!! I love my Friday!!!

TheRob is going to Flagstaff Arizona!!
He is going with his Ayala Marching band & colorguard for the regional competition. Their theme for this year is "Journeys By Rail." He is leaving in the early morning around 2:45AM and he is packing right now. He is super excited because it's a big competition and he will be gone for 3 days far away from home. heehee

Have FUN!!!! =) We will miss you~

It's almost the end of the week...So fast...
I like Thursdays, the most productive day of the week. For next week, I have one midterm on Tuesday and two papers to turn in on Thursday. It's not easy to be a student. >_< But I still want to have fun over the weekend. =P

Last Saturday, we had a sisters gathering for Joy's birthday at Fresh Gourmet in San Marino. It was really awesome to see all of them, especially Baby Josephine. I don't remember when was the last time I saw her...Maybe back in May. Baby Jo is soooo adorable. She learns how to walk now and she smiles a lot. She even knows how to call me "阿姨" (auntie in Chinese). Baby Jo loves my purse too...So funny~
Jean, if you are reading my blog, just want to let you know that I can babysit for you whenever you need a babysitter. =P Thank you for sharing the photos.

We celebrated Eva's birthday at Macaroni Grill tonight. It's girls night out~ Eva's sister, Cindy, is so funny. She made us laugh so hard....I guess the most exciting part of tonight's dinner was our cute waiter. =P We just kept staring at him and Eva even took a picture with him. haha~ I think he is the cutest waiter I've ever seen.... Ok, that's enough. =P

Today is Yo-Yo Ma's 50th birthday. I don't know him personally. I heard this on the radio KUSC classical this morning while I was driving to work. He played a piece called "Gabriel's Oboe" and it is very good, sounds like he played it with his heart and soul...heeheee.

It's a cute Friday! Almost all the ladies, including myself, at work are wearing princess pink polo shirt. We got the shirts from Target yesterday and it's only $10. Target will donate all profits from this sale to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation which dedicated to preventing breast cancer and finding a cure in our lifetime by funding clinical and genetic research in the U.S. and abroad. This is something we can do to show our support!! ^______^

I know who you are!!!!

My goal of this week is to read the Bible every night before I go to sleep. Honestly for me it's a big challenge to spend quiet time with God on a daily basis.

"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.(Psalm 119:105)"
The word of God is like a lamp that leads me to make decisions in my life. It is like using a flashlight to walk in the dark; you use it to watch the steps you take. God's word is also like a light that gives me directions. It is like a lighthouse that projects the light to guide ships from far distances.

Last night I happened to see this verse on the calendar: "Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. (Thessalonians 5:18)" I was thinking in my mind...ALL circumstances, which includes good things and bad things. Then I went to bed. God's word is powerful! This morning on the way to work, the traffic was horrible and at the moment when I was about to lose patience and start to feel annoyed, this verse came to me. GIVE THANKS!!! Then I gave thanks to God for being able to be on time the other day when I had an important meeting. Even though I was 25 minutes late, my heart was grateful and full of joy. ^____^
