Happy Birthday to Anthony!!

Congratulations to Eunah for having her baby boy, Jaden, on December 2, 2004. Eunah and I used to take classes together at Cal State LA. I am sooooo happy for her and may God bless her little one with lots love~

We had Santa’s luncheon at work today. All the foods were provided by generous Santa Bill, a special education teacher who works at our school district. He does this for all the entire staff at the district every year. Really admire his generosity and kindness during this holiday season.

What type of personality are you?

Gung Ho, a new word I learned from a conversation with a friend when we were talking about personality. It is like proactive, fight to death kind of spirit, full of energy & passionate. I was very curious and found out that it is mostly used as a military expression and basically means to do something enthusiastically. And the origin of this word is from Chinese.

Talking about personality, what type of personality are you?? How well can you analyze a person?? It’s very interesting that I have a friend who likes analyzing people. Here is his analysis of me: “you are quiet, shy, and keep a lot of feelings inside. I think you are still looking for yourself, searching inside what's God’s calling for you. Sit back and let people take the action. Low profile type of people and you need to be pushed. Lack the confidence in yourself. A woman role is clearly defined, to be a support of your husband. Clean and neat type of person. I am amazed and pretty much agreed with what he said. It’s interesting to know how other people think of me, don’t you think so?

Not easy...

It’s not easy to be a parent. I mean the kind of parent who fully participates in his/her child’s school activities. I feel I am like a parent today, took Robert to his marching band holiday parade early in the morning and I actually stayed there to watch the parade under the scorching sun and took pictures for him. Later in the afternoon, I took him to his annual Christmas piano recital. I am tired, but after seeing his effort and accomplishments, I feel really happy. No wonder the parents always tell their kids, “we are so PROUD of you!!” same thing here from the bottom of my heart, “Robert, I am soooo PROUD of you!!”

Slow to Anger...

Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry. (James 1:19) A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. (Proverbs 15:1)
Quick-tempered, yup, that's me, I confess... These two verses help me to remember that I need to change myself, to be more like Jesus.

Robert's school band will have the holiday marching parade at 8am tomorrow in Chino. He will be in full uniform with hat, plume & a shiny alto saxophone. Remember to wear black socks!!! heehee =) In the afternoon, Robert has piano recital at 2:30pm. It's going to be a busy day tomorrow since I need to take him, both morning and afternoon.

I was watching "House of Flying Daggers" DVD with ishyjo last night. Another martial art movie and the scenery is absolutely beautiful. But I found myself paying more attention to Takeshi Kaneshiro (金城武) http://www.takeshikaneshiro.net. He is so cute and this movie reminds me his Japanese soap opera, God Please Give Me More Time.

Am I a shopaholic??

Am I a shopaholic?? ishyjo thinks I spent on what I "want" not what I "need"....um, I should be the one who determined that =) I haven't gone shopping for a LONG time and I don't know how to manage my money, I earn, save & spend. No brain for investment. I think I spend most of the $ on gifts, traveling, eating & entertainment, like Broadway shows. Those tickets are not cheap and I prefer the seats toward the front. :P

Almost the end of 2004, can't believe it. I feel I am getting old faster than before. I will have two weeks off for my winter vacation and a lot luncheons and gatherings at work next week. I gotta remember the reason for the season. Jesus was born for you and me~ Rejoice!!

Beginning

Fabulous! This is my first blog and I am very excited. I like to read other people's blogs to see what had happened in their lives. It is a way to know who they are and sometimes I get really encouraged by what they wrote. There are always various moments in my life that mean a lot to me and I want to write them down so I can count the blessings that God has given to me~
