Few days ago, I heard the news about a research conducted by a UCSD professor. This professor and his team studied more than 900 women and asked them to rate each moment they experience or each activity they do everyday. The result showed "intimate relations" had the highest score while cleaning the house, grocery shopping and commuting were rated lowest. This sounds like an interesting study. I think women are more sensitive & emotional in general and tend to relate themselves to people & feelings, not things. My advice for those who are too busy to spend time with your love ones, "spend quality time with them! Show them you do care!!" =)
Tuesday night, our worship team went to uncle James' house for practice. He has an electronic scale and as I stood on it to weigh myself, I was very very very surprised that I've gained so much weight. BOOOO~ so I decided to cut my meal portion and no sweets from now on. I love to eat and I can eat a lot. I think it was on Monday, I had 4 or 5 scoops of ice cream with root beer in the afternoon and then two waffles with ice cream on top before I went to bed. HORRIBLE! That's very unhealthy. So yesterday, ishyjo and I had lunch at Fresh Choice. Now I am trying to eat less than I used to and drink green tea and water instead of soda. It's so difficult!! My mouth feels "itchy" and wants to have snacks so bad. I know I need to exercise too but I will start with my diet first.
I went to SOP's Wednesday Night Worship (WNW) yesterday. Mary shared the message about "The Doer of the Word." She started a true story of a 10-year-old girl named, Tilly Smith. She saved her family and many tourists from the deadly tsunami because she studied tsunami in her class few weeks ago. She was vacationing in Thailand with her family when the wave rushed out & began to bubble. Tilly recognized the signs that tsunami was minutes away. She explained to her mom and they informed their hotel, which was quickly evacuated. Many were saved because of this girl. We all have a lot of knowledge in our heads just like we know the teachings of God. It's easy to hear the Words but a challenge to put them into actions. God says everyone who hears His words and put them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. We will be blessed to have solid foundation when we are doers of God's words. =)
