It has been two weeks; four more weeks to go.

Working with the students in the classroom is not an easy job. But so far I like it and enjoy the four hours I spend every morning. They remind me the time when I first came here and I know some of them are having a hard time adjusting to this different and new American school system. One student does not even know how to type up a paragraph on the computer. One student wants to stay in the classroom and continues working on something during the thirty minute brunch time. I think many of them are here by themselves with relatives or guardians. I feel bad for some of them...

We are learning about comparison these days and students need to write sentences using _____ is as _____ as _____. One student came up with a sentence, "This river is as horrible as my mom." I know it doesn't make sense but I think it's pretty sad to say that. I think that student probably feels abandoned by his mom. There are just so many little stories in the classroom everyday and it is getting more interesting as I get to know them more and more.

Dinner time!! I started my healthy diet this week, trying to be healthy, stay in shape, and lose some weight. This is my 4th day!!! add oil~
